Our Story
The building at 30 Leroy Street has long stood as a cherished landmark in the heart of Attleboro. Constructed in 1876, it originally served as an African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. The church was established to provide African Americans in Attleboro with a dedicated place for worship, fellowship, and community gathering. Notably, the building was constructed using surplus materials from its sister congregation, Bethany Village Fellowship Church on Newport Avenue, reflecting the close connection between the two churches and their shared commitment to serving the community.
For nearly 150 years, its walls have witnessed generations of community life, serving as a place of faith, fellowship, and connection. Today, the building continues to offer the warmth and hospitality of a congregation that calls it home. The space itself is modest and welcoming—exactly the kind of place where a community of faith can take root and flourish. It still features historical details, including the original interior pews, which serve as a tangible link to the many generations who have worshipped within its walls. Every corner carries meaning, from the front entrance that greets newcomers with an open door to the gathering spaces where neighbors become family. Rich in history and purpose, the building remains a testament to the enduring spirit of faith, resilience, and community in Attleboro.
Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church was founded through a deep sense of faith, purpose, and calling. Pastor Jewel Hardmon, together with a small but dedicated group of believers, united around a shared vision: to establish a Christ-centered church firmly grounded in God's Word and committed to serving the needs of the entire community. What began as a humble gathering of faithful servants has grown into a vibrant ministry that touches lives both within Attleboro and beyond.
Over the years, the church has expanded its outreach through worship services, Bible studies, community meals, and compassionate spiritual support. Building upon this strong foundation, Pastor Neraki Jordan is leading the ministry into a new season by developing an online platform that will extend the church's reach to those who are sick, homebound, or otherwise unable to attend services in person. While the church remains intentionally small and personal in nature, its mission is broad, its heart is welcoming, and its doors are open to all who seek faith, fellowship, and community.
Our Mission
The mission of Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church is to provide for and promote religious worship in the community in accordance with God's written word, The Holy Bible.
We welcome with open arms all who seek God. We serve the community through establishing religious services, bible classes, feeding the unhoused and disinfranchised communities, providing personal and spiritual guidance, along with promoting physical and mental well-being.

Pastor Neraki Jordan
Senior Pastor, Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church
Pastor Neraki has dedicated her life to serving God and the people He places in her path. She pastors and shepherds Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church with a deep conviction that every person deserves a place to belong, to heal, and to grow in faith. Her ministry is as much about showing up in the community as it is about Sunday morning worship.
Pastor Neraki leads with faith, love, and an open door for all who seek God.
Elder Rickey Stevenson, Sr.
Assistant Pastor
Elder Stevenson brings warmth and clarity to every message he delivers. He is a trusted voice in the congregation and a steadfast support to the pastoral team.
Elder Robert Banks
Senior Elder and Head of the Men's Department
Elder Banks brings his experience in the Lord, love of Jesus Christ and wisdom to the congregation during our men's day service through the Word of God.
Mother Dee Banks
Head of the Mother's Board
Mother Banks along with Mother Laura Jordan bring their years of experience in the Lord, love of Jesus Christ and wisdom to the congregation during our Friend's and Family Day services.
Deaconess Theresa Johnson-Leary
Head of Hospitality
Deaconess Johnson coordinates the church's hospitality efforts and serves alongside Pastor Neraki over the Women's Department.

Our Founder - Pastor Jewel Hardmon
Pastor Jewel Hardmon began bible studies 40 years ago underthe leadership of the late Bishop Alphonzo Jones. She received her calling from the Lord over 30 years ago when she beacame a Missionary. Under the spiritual direction of the Bishop, she became a Minister. With continued devotion to the things of God, she was elected President of the Missions Department, Church School and Bible Study teacher for a total of 10 years. God then elevated Pastor Jewel to the position of Elder at St. Paul Church in Boston, MA. She studied Homiletics unter the late Rev. Dr. Clarice Thousand.
In 1997, Pastor Jewel recieved a diving calling. She heard the voice of God telling her " It is time to do HIS will." In January of 1998, She joined Unity Tabernacle of Holiness Church with Pastor Willie H. Hardmon, Jr. As he accepted her membership, his words to her were "Join, but you cannot stay because God has work for you to do." In 1999, Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church started as Wednesday night church at Bethany Village Fellowship Church. It was a natural transition into ministry and she served for more than 20 years as Pastor of Fruit of the Spirirt Mission church.
Rev. Jewel was an active member of Tres Dias, an international, non-denominational christian organization where she served as a spiritual director and was a member of the MLK Committee in Attleboro MA.
Her church was instumental under her leadership in feeding the unhoused in Boston and surrrounding areas and providing and dist food baskets to those in need during the holiday seasons.
Our Colors
Purple has always carried the weight of royalty and divine authority. In our church, it represents the sovereignty of God — a reminder that we gather under His reign. It is a color of faith, depth, and reverence that anchors everything we do.
Gold speaks to the glory of God and the richness of His presence among us. White stands for purity, holiness, and the new beginning that is available to every person who walks through our doors. Together, purple, gold, and white tell the story of who we are: a community called to honor God, reflect His glory, and welcome all into His grace.
